Dissertation Defense: Emily Hunter

The oral doctoral examination of Emily Hunter, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Friday, April 21,  at 12:15 p.m. in Eggers Hall, Room 151.

Hunter’s advisor is Professor Margaret Susan Thompson. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Carol Faulkner,  Andrew Cohen, and Monica Mercado. Professor M. Gail Hamner will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “”We Stand Before the Stars”: Reevaluating Catholic Modernism and Liberal Marriage Reform in the United States, 1895-1945.”
