Dissertation Defense: Sarthak Gupta

The oral doctoral examination of Sarthak Gupta, candidate for the PhD degree will be held on Thursday, August 10, at 2 p.m. in the Physics Building, room 202.

Gupta’s advisors are Professor Jennifer Schwarz and Alison E Patteson. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Christian D Santangelo, and Jennifer Ross. Professor Pranav Soman will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Physical Insights into Biological Processes: From Viral Uptake to Chromatin Organization to Cell Motility to Tissue Rigidity.”
