Dissertation Defense: Oluseyi Agbelusi

The oral doctoral examination of Oluseyi Agbelusi, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Wednesday, August 16, at 1 p.m. in 205 A Maxwell Hall.

Agbelusi’s advisor is Professor Christopher R. DeCorse. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Theresa Singleton, Douglas V. Armstrong, Stephen Mrozowski, Guido Pezzarossi. Professor Peng Gao will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “British Anti-Slavery, Trade, and Nascent Colonialism on the Sierra Leone Peninsula, C. 1860 – 1960.”
