Re-Scheduled: TA Program workshop: “Active Learning in the STEM Classroom ”

Rescheduled TA Program Workshop from 2/3/23: In this workshop, we will introduce the idea of active learning, a student-centric teaching strategy which focuses on problem-solving, group work, and conversation in place of traditional lecturing. As teaching assistants running recitations and lab sections, we are already in a classroom setting designed for active learning, so our goal will be to refine your approach to best take advantage of this teaching strategy. Topics will include lesson plans, problem-solving techniques, tips and tricks, external resources, feedback tools, and advice from SU faculty members.
