Join Syracuse University Libraries for the ACS Guide to Scholarly Communication in-person launch event. The ACS Guide to Scholarly Communication provides students, researchers, educators, and librarians with the instruction and advice they need to master the art of scholarly communication. It helps students learn how to write scientific papers and find key tips for notating difficult-to-articulate concepts, or how to publish their first journal article. It covers all instructions from previous editions of The ACS Style Guide— completely updated and modernized—as well as a wealth of brand-new chapters covering everything from preprints, Open Access, machine-readable data, and much more. Additional content will be added regularly to expand on communication methods and data organization.
Food and refreshments will be provided.
The event will begin with a trivia contest pertaining to the material to be presented, with a first prize and a consolation prize (raffle in case of a tie) awarded. There will be other giveaways as well!
In addition to the ACS Guide to Scholarly Communication, we will also introduce you to:
ACS Author Lab, which helps you master the preparation and publication of scientific manuscripts
ACS Reviewer Lab, which provides peer review training for scientific researchers, presented in English or Chinese.
