The Historically Black Church Chaplaincy of Hendricks Chapel at Syracuse University will host “Open Arms,” a collaborative community worship event with Alpha Phi Alpha, the Impact Movement, and the National Society of Black Engineers. The service will be filled with messages of encouragement and unity. The service will welcome members of the Syracuse University campus community along with area congregations for praise and worship.
Throughout the evening, guests will hear messages from Chaplain Melvin Baker of the Historically Black Church Chaplaincy, Pastor Daren Jaime from The People’s AME Zion Church, Bishop Bernard H. Alex from Victory Temple, Bishop Ray A. King from Bellegrove MBC, and Pastor JL Ogletree from The Purpose Church.
Musical selections throughout the evening will be offered by Syracuse University’s Black Celestial Choral Ensemble, Creations Dance Company, and more! Parking will be open in the Quad lot.
