Reception for Active Repair: Works from the Social Justice Sewing Academy

The Community Folk Art center will host a reception in conjunction with the exhibit from the Social Justice Sewing Academy. As part of the event, Sara Trail, founder of SJSA, will offer remarks about the project, its history, and its impact, with a focus on how textile arts can work toward repairing societal injustices. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the gallery and view the curated selection of quilts on display.
