Dissertation Defense: Taonian Shan

The oral doctoral examination of Taonian Shan, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Tuesday, June 27, at 10 a.m. via Zoom.

Shan’s advisor is Professor Eric M Lui. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Riyad S Aboutaha, Shobha K Bhatia and  Zhao Qin. Professor Junho Chun will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Energy-based analysis and design of buckling-restrained braced frames for dual earthquake-wind hazards.”
