People, Planet and Purpose: Creating Global Corporate Transformation

Join alumna Stacey Tank ’02 for a lively discussion on the corporate social responsibilities of one of the world’s most recognizable brands, Heineken. As the chief transformation and corporate affairs officer, Tank leads the company’s “EverGreen” growth strategy to ensure that Heineken leads with purpose and values. Prior to her current role at the Amsterdam-based company, Tank served as senior vice president for Heineken USA.

In this conversation moderated by Brad Horn, associate dean of strategic initiatives, Tank will discuss her passion for business and positive societal impact, expanding on her previous work with General Electric and The Home Depot where she led the multi-billion dollar Home Depot Installation and Measurement Service businesses.

While offering an in-depth look into the changing global landscape of business through communications, Tank will also demonstrate how public relations and a strong commitment to social responsibility can be transformative for major global corporations.

Leaders in Communications

Leaders in Communications is a monthly speaker series that brings media leaders, influencers and newsmakers to the Newhouse School for candid and insightful conversations with students and other guests. With a special emphasis on current trends and challenges, the series helps students keep apace of a quickly changing communications industry and provides them with a connection to the professions they will eventually lead. The series also offers valuable networking and learning opportunities, as guests visit classrooms or student organizations in addition to participating in the public conversation. The series is supported by the Hearst Speakers Fund.
