Join the Maxwell School, Newhouse Syracuse and Syracuse University in Los Angeles for a special program in Southern California centered on the new Syracuse University Institute for Democracy, Journalism and Citizenship.
Our panel, moderated by Chris Licht ’93, Chairman and CEO of CNN Worldwide, will include 29-time Emmy winner Bob Costas H’15, Danielle Nottingham ’99, host of NBC’s “California Live” and Margaret Talev, Kramer Director of the Syracuse University Institute for Democracy, Journalism and Citizenship, who together will engage in conversation exploring the intersection of entertainment, news and democracy.

A reception will begin at 6:00 p.m., with the program starting at 7:30 p.m.
Parking Info for LA Alumni Event
Pre-registration is required to attend this event, and a government ID is needed for access to the Warner Brothers Studios lot. Directions and parking details will be shared with event registrants in pre-event communications. This event will be held in accordance with Los Angeles County health protocols.
About the Institute
A joint initiative of the Newhouse and Maxwell schools, the Syracuse University Institute for Democracy, Journalism and Citizenship will promote nonpartisan, evidence-based research and dialogue in the public interest and support the work of faculty and students.
While the Institute will be based in Washington, D.C., it will have wide-reaching impact, working across geographies and industries to advance public discourse on topics affecting all individuals.
