Dissertation Defense: Amber Liles

The oral doctoral examination of Amber Liles, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Monday, March 20,  at 1 p.m. in the Center for Science & Technology, Room 1-132.

Liles’s advisor is Professor Robert Doyle. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors James Hougland, Olga Makhlynets, Rachel Steinhardt and Timothy Korter. Professor Liviu Movileanu will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Design, synthesis, and bioconjugation of novel peptide-based drugs to mitigate negative hindbrain side effects for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity.”
