Attend the screening of two Academy Award-winning short documentary films: “Period. End of Sentence.” (2019) and this year’s newly minted winner, “The Elephant Whisperers.”
After the screening, directors Rayka Zehtabchi and Kartiki Gonsalves will join Emmy and Academy Award-winning editor/director/producer Doug Blush to discuss the making of their films, what it is like to win an Academy Award and answer questions from the audience.

2019 ACADEMY AWARD FOR BEST DOCUMENTARY SHORT: In a rural village outside Delhi, India, women lead a quiet revolution. They fight against the deeply rooted stigma of menstruation. ”Period. End of Sentence.” tells their story.
THE ELEPHANT WHISPERERS
2023 ACADEMY AWARD FOR BEST DOCUMENTARY SHORT: Bomman and Bellie, a couple in South India, devote their lives to caring for an orphaned baby elephant named Raghu, forging a family like no other that tests the barrier between the human and the animal world.
