Dissertation Defense: Mariah Maxwell

The oral doctoral examination of Mariah Maxwell, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Tuesday, May 2, at 10 a.m. in the Heroy Geology Laboratory, room 333C.

Maxwell’s advisor is Professor Jason R. Wiles. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors John Tillotson and Julia Snyder. Professor Sarah Hall will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Supporting Science Identity Development with Course-Based Interventions: Strategies to Improve Undergraduate Student Persistence in STEM.”
