Information Session with Departments of Energy and Defense Program Managers

Please join us for a virtual meeting with two scientific program managers from the Department of Energy and Department of Defense. You should attend if you have an interest in DOD/DOE funding but have questions about:

• Who to talk to
• How to get in the system
• How to get started
• How the DOE/DOD processes differ from those at the NSF or NIH

To help answer these questions, we have invited two program officers with expertise directly related to areas of the BioInspired Institute to meet with us over zoom and answer questions:

Dr. Nancy Kelley-Loughnane, Biological Materials and Processes Research Team Lead at Air Force Research Laboratory.

Dr. Aura Gimm, program manager of the biomolecular materials program in the Material Sciences and Engineering Division at DOE.

Even if you don’t do “biological materials” but work on some other types of materials, these program officers can provide insight into processes and adjacent programs that would be a good fit for your work. Please also send senior people from your lab!
