Dissertation Defense: Thomas Bouril

The oral doctoral examination of Thomas Bouril, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Tuesday, May 30, at 10 a.m. in Eggers Hall, room 151.

Bouril’s advisor is Professor Martin Shanguhyia. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Radha Kumar, and Junko Takeda. Professor A.H. Peter Castro will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Whose Children? Competing Conceptions of Childhood in Colonial Kenya.”
