The Tough Topic Tuesday program offers students, staff and faculty the opportunity to engage in discussion around difficult or challenging subjects related to bias, diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and identity. These conversations provide campus community members with a platform for open and constructive dialogue and aim to promote understanding and connection across differences.

Nov. 7 Topic: The True History of Thanksgiving

This conversation aims to re-inform our community about the darker history surrounding how Thanksgiving in America came to be. We will talk about the true history of the holiday and talk a critically look at how Native populations were and continue to be impacted by the holiday.
