- 2:00pm- Welcome Remarks and Introduction of Symposium Speakers.
- 2:30pm- Dr. Rosemary Ahtuangaruak, Iñupiaq Elder and environmental justice activist and educator.
- 3:30pm- Linda Infante Lyons, Alutiiq/Sugpiaq artist based in Anchorage, Alaska.
Monday, November 13, 2023 – Dr. Paul & Natalie Strasser Legacy Room, 220 Eggers Hall
- 11:00am – Edward Hummingbird, director of institutional research, effectiveness and planning at the Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
- 1:00pm – Allison Akootchook Warden, Iñupiaq interdisciplinary artist and a tribal member of the Native Village of Kaktovik, Alaska.
- 2:00pm – Dr. Christopher Roos, environmental archaeologist and professor of anthropology at Southern Methodist University.
- 3:00pm – Panel discussion with all speakers.
- 4:00pm – Exhibition titled “Continuity, Innovation, and Resistance: The Art of Peter Jones” at the Syracuse University Art Museum, located in the Shaffer Art Building.
