“The Power and Politics of Transformational Adaptation in International Climate Finance”

International climate finance is an integral part of the global climate policy regime, and many of the major climate funds are increasingly articulating their goals as catalyzing transformational adaptation.

Jamie Shinn is a human geographer and environmental social scientist whose research investigates sources of social-ecological vulnerability to climate change and possibilities for transformation that can lead to more just and equitable climate futures. She takes a mixed methods approach, with an emphasis on qualitative data collection, and has conducted research projects in Central Appalachia and Southern Africa.
