You are cordially invited to this year’s 41st Annual AAS Colloquium.
This year’s themes are Careers in AAS, and the intersections of Hip Hop and Black Studies.
Our first event is “Careers in AAS.” It takes place on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 5:30 pm (eastern) in Sims Hall 219 and on Zoom. It features two AAS alums, who will share their experiences in African American Studies and how that impacted their career paths.

- Aaisha Haykal, Manager of Archival Services, Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture, College of Charleston
