With Beverly Fleurinay, a world-renowned Haitian dance instructor, the Haitian American Student Association is bringing Kompa to the Syracuse University student body! What is Kompa you ask? Kompa is a modern merengue dance genre popular in Haitian culture. It is usually expressed between two dance partners and can be seen at parties, festivals, other social events and newly found on TikTok! We believe this event will be both fun and educational, so we hope to see you there!
