Beyond academia, few employers align better with the interests and values of Ph.D.’s than nonprofit organizations, where advanced research skills, ability in project management, and a commitment to general welfare are all in demand. But what is it really like to work for a nonprofit? Three SU Ph.D. alums will share their professional journeys, daily working lives, and advice for those considering a career in the sector.
The panelists:
- Andreas Kuehn, Senior Fellow with Observer Research Foundation America (Ph.D., Information Science and Technology, 2016)
- Rikki Sargent McLaren, Director of Research & Experimentation, WorkMoney (Ph.D., Social Psychology, 2021)
- Raed Sharif, Senior Regional Programme Manager, The SecDev Foundation (Ph.D., Information Science and Technology, 2013)
