Fair Use and Creative Commons for Creators and Users

October 30, 2023 at 2:00pm3:00pm EDT

Bird Library, Mower Faculty Commons, Room 548

This event has already occurred. The information may no longer be valid.

Join Open Scholarship Librarian Dylan Mohr and Music and Performing Arts Librarian Amanda DuBose for an informal coffee hour and discussion of Fair Use and Creative Commons as tools for your research and in your courses. Creative Commons licenses allow creators to specify which rights they grant in the reuse of their work; Fair Use outlines what materials can be used in educational settings—knowledge of both can help faculty make sound decisions about how to license and reuse materials in many contexts. Coffee and refreshments will be provided.
