Dissertation Defense: Katherine Hicks

The oral doctoral examination of Katherine Hicks, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Tuesday, April 9, at 4 p.m. in 303 Maxwell Hall.

Hicks’s advisor is Professor Shannon A. Novak. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Theresa A. Singleton, Douglas V. Armstrong, Meredith Ellis, and Carol Faulkner. Professor Anne E. Mosher will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Landscapes of Life and Death: Placing the Spring Street Presbyterian Church in Nineteenth Century New York.”
