Dissertation Defense: Richard Bartels

The oral doctoral examination of Richard Bartels, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Friday, April 12, at 12 p.m. in the Carnegie Library, room 110.

Bartels’s advisor is Professor Graham Leuschke. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Claudia Miller, and Josh Pollitz. Professor Arindam Chakraborty will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Numerical invariants of Cohen-Macaulay local and graded rings.”
