Dissertation Defense: Fatima Kizil

The oral doctoral examination of Fatima Kizil, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Tuesday, August 6, at 10 a.m. via Zoom.

Kizil’s advisor is Professor Marcelle Haddix. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Zaline Roy-Campbell, Janine Nieroda Madden, and Delicia Greene. Professor Qiu Wang will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Raising Voices to Build Bridges: Exploration of Muslim American Early Adolescents’ Literacy Practices in an Out-of-School Book Club Program.”
