The oral doctoral examination of Simon Vangel, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Thursday, August 8, at 1 p.m. in 401A Hall of Languages and via Zoom.
Vangel’s advisor is Professor Roger Hallas. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Will Scheibel and Christopher Hanson. Professor Theo Cateforis will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Subcultural Textuality: Skateboarding and the Politics of Subcultural Media.”
