The oral doctoral examination of Natalie El-Eid, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Tuesday, August 13, at 1 p.m. in 401A Hall of Languages and via Zoom.

El-Eid’s advisor is Professor Carol Fadda. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Roger Hallas, Robin Riley, Antonio Tiongson, and Amira Jarmakani. Professor Dana Olwan will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Transnational Druze and Reincarnation: Remembering, Recording, and Reconnecting.”
