Dissertation Defense: Christos Nixarlidis

The oral doctoral examination of Christos Nixarlidis, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Monday, December 2, at 3 p.m. in the Center for Science and Technology, room 1-132.

Nixarlidis’s advisor is Professor John D Chisholm. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Yan-Yeung Luk, Xiaoran Hu, Nancy Totah, and Michael Sponsler. Professor John W. Tillotson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Synthetic Studies on Ship Activators and New Oxidative Methods using DDQ and Hypervalent Iodine Catalysts.”
