2024 PEACE, Inc. Give-a-Holiday Program

As the holiday season approaches, PEACE, Inc. would like to invite Syracuse University faculty and staff to be a part of their 2024 Give-A-Holiday Program. If you would like to participate in this year’s program, please fill out the online registration form here.

How You Can Help

1. Sponsor a Family: When you choose to sponsor a family, you will receive a family information form detailing each family member’s first name, age, gender, clothing sizes and gift suggestions. You will be matched with your family by mid-November, allowing you ample time to gather unwrapped gifts for each family member. PEACE, Inc. also asks that you please include wrapping paper, tape, and scissors with your unwrapped gifts.
2. Create a Gift Basket: In addition to gifts, you can also create baskets filled with basic needs/essentials. Unfortunately, PEACE, Inc. is not always able to sponsor all families that have needs with gifts. Gift basket donations can make a significant impact by filling any of these gaps in coverage. Use a basket, laundry basket or reusable bags, and consider including the following items: clothing, household & personal care, paper products and family fun (i.e., board games, puzzles, and coloring supplies). Feel free to mix and match items; however, please avoid heavy baskets and items requiring refrigeration. Non-perishable food items are always welcome!
3. Gift Cards to local stores or grocery outlets can also be a wonderful way to support families.
4. Monetary Donations: If you prefer, you can make monetary donations that will be used to purchase gifts for unsponsored families. You can donate online here or by mailing a check to PEACE, Inc. /Give-A-Holiday, 217 S Salina St, 2nd Floor, Syracuse, NY 13202. 

Drop-Off Information & Dates:

1. Syracuse University Pick-Up Information: A specific pick-up location will be announced closer to the date, but it will likely be in a central section of the Quad Lot near the JMA Dome.

• • Morning Pick-Up: Monday, December 16th, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
  • Afternoon Pick-Up: Monday, December 16th, from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM

2. Alternate Drop-Off Location: If you’re unable to drop off your gifts on campus, we invite you to visit the PEACE, Inc. Eastwood Community Center at 401 S Midler Ave, Syracuse, NY 13206 during the following times:

• • Friday, December 13th: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Monday, December 16th: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
