Description
Do you want to communicate the findings from your research to policymakers, but are unsure about how to do so effectively? Panelists in this workshop will share strategies for establishing contact and building relationships with local, state, and federal elected officials and their staffers, and practical tools, examples, and ideas for how to effectively communicate with policymakers orally, visually, and in writing. Faculty panelists will describe their own experiences communicating with policymakers, and representatives from the SU Office of Community Engagement and Government relations will summarize the resources and assistance they can provide. All faculty members and graduate students are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.
