Malmgren Concert Series—Community Hymn Festival

Hendricks Chapel invites area singers to join the Hendricks Chapel Choir, director José “Peppie” Calvar, and Syracuse University organists in leading a hymn festival on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Singers of all ages from the campus and wider Central New York community are encouraged to register as performers at this event. The program will feature both new and familiar hymns from the Christian tradition and will be open to a public audience.

Singers who register in advance to sing with the festival choir are asked to attend a rehearsal on Sunday, February 4 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Singers may also attend an optional rehearsal on Thursday, February 1, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Registered participants will receive scores and materials via email in late January.

This event is co-sponsored by the Syracuse Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
