During the TA orientation, the Teaching Mentor staff covers a wide breadth of topics that Teaching Assistants will (and have) encountered in their classrooms and labs. To continue these conversations, the TA Program announces the return of the Teaching Assistant Coffee Hour, an informal and friendly space where TMs and TAs can dive deeper into many TA-relevant themes.
TAs will have an opportunity to share their experiences with peers and collaboratively workshop with a supportive group of teaching mentors and teaching assistants!
We hope you join us each month to meet peers from different disciplines across campus to share your experiences, listen and learn from others, and discuss new strategies to implement in your classes! Light refreshments will be provided.

Dealing with a conflict is always a challenge. Whether stemming from challenging material, debate and disagreement, or outside events, conflict can be difficult handle in the moment. This coffee hour is a chance to discuss possible scenarios and tips on how to avoid a conflict in the classroom or how to handle it should it arise.
