Prevention Counseling Group Enrollment

January 4, 2024April 17, 2024 EST

Barnes Center at The Arch, Counseling, Third Floor

This event has already occurred. The information may no longer be valid.

This is a process therapy group intended for students who are in need of a space to reflect on their own substance use or who are curious about changing their habits. In high-stress, high-competition environments, it can be easy to get caught up in or fall into a “culture” of use. It can be a quick thing to “take the edge off,” or it might be something that’s become more habituated. Perhaps friends and loved ones have mentioned students’ substance use to them, or maybe they’ve noticed that substance use is not really what they want for themselves, but they’re struggling with how to navigate cutting back. Whatever the motivation, Prevention Group is a space to find support while developing the confidence to navigate the campus community in a healthy and meaningful way.
