Dissertation Defense: Elenna Capote

The oral doctoral examination of Elenna Capote, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Thursday, June 6, at 11 a.m. in the Physics Building, Room 202/204.

Capote’s advisor is Professor Stefan Ballmer. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Georgia Mansell, and Mitchell Soderberg. Professor Joshua Russell will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Overcoming Controls and Noise Challenges for High Power Interferometric Gravitational-Wave Detectors.”
