Dissertation Defense: Aarti Patel

The oral doctoral examination of Aarti Patel, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, June 26, at 10 a.m. in 504 Hall of Languages.

Patel’s advisor is Professor Joanne Punzo Waghorne. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Arun Brahmbhatt, and Biko Mandela Gray. Professor Margaret Thompson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Between Visits: Hindu Domestic Religiosity, Home Shrines, and Thirdspace in the Diaspora.”
