Dissertation Defense: Taveeshi Singh

The oral doctoral examination of Taveeshi Singh, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, June 26, at 10 a.m. via Zoom.

Taveeshi Singh’s advisor is Professor Chandra Talpade Mohanty. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Linda Carty, Himika Bhattacharya, and Mona Bhan. Professor Dana Olwan will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Domestic Exertions: Soldier-servants, Military Elites, and Securitized Labor in India.”
