This event aims to introduce the audience to Turkish cinema and culture by screening the film titled Kelebeğin Rüyası (The Butterfly’s Dream) (2013) directed by Yılmaz Erdoğan.
Two young poets afflicted by tuberculosis strive to endure the famine-ravaged era of World War II. Their struggle for survival becomes further complicated when they both develop feelings for the same young woman, leading them to engage in a poetic rivalry as they vie for her affection.
The Turkish Movie Night series also aims to complement the Turkish table events organized throughout the spring semester.
