Much evidence points toward a crisis in public confidence in higher education. While tempting for faculty members to respond defensively, this moment provides an opportunity for researchers, teachers, and community-engaged scholars to make a case for ourselves through finding new ways to articulate our values and to make evident the benefits we provide to our students and, ultimately, to the life of a vibrant and democratic community.
Please join us for the third and final event in this series of one-hour discussions, Making the Case for Higher Education. In this closing event, panelists will examine how we make the case for what we research.
Speakers:
- Jennifer Karas Montez, University Professor, Maxwell School
- Hamid Ekbia, University Professor, Maxwell School
- Duncan Brown, Vice President for Research (moderator)
