The Syracuse University Physics department is pleased to welcome Joseph (Joe) Pacific, Strategy and Business Development Senior Manager for Advanced Concepts with Lockheed Martin, Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS).

Joe is responsible for the development and execution of the advanced Radio Frequency (RF) portfolio, working across the Department of Defense, Industry, and Academia to develop the next generation of RF sensors and effects. Joe joined Lockheed Martin in Syracuse, NY, after receiving his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior roles include multiple engineering and business leadership positions within Lockheed Martin, including assignments in Radar, Electronic Warfare, C4ISR, Directed Energy, and Unmanned Systems. Joe is based out of the Syracuse, NY facility and, along with his wife and two daughters, calls Manlius, NY home. When not working or traveling for work, Joe enjoys being outdoors and doing whatever creative things his daughters suggest.

In his talk, Mr. Pacific will provide an overview of Lockheed Martin and their business areas, of Syracuse- and Owego-specific programs, and of his current assignments and career path with Lockheed Martin. There will be a discussion of Physics-aligned roles within Lockheed Martin, and he will be providing resources on how to engage with Lockheed Martin, both locally and nationally.
