What’s New in Special Collections?

Special Collections Research Center Open House and Special Viewing of Recent Acquisitions and Newly Available Material

SCRC is home to Syracuse University’s rare books, manuscripts and other primary source materials. In addition to newly acquired and newly available materials being on display, the event will also feature:

  • An open tour of the Joan Breier Brodsky ’67 G’68 Conservation Lab to learn more about SCRC’s conservation and preservation efforts
  • Highlights from SCRC’s SOURCE Explore Pilot Program and Faculty Fellows Program
  • Listening opportunities of Sound Beat episodes that feature our recorded sound holdings
  • Examples of new scholarship and publications that used SCRC materials

Several SCRC staff members will be present to field questions and talk about the significance of the materials both on hand and in the rest of SCRC‘s holdings.
