Come watch SU’s top grad student research communicators square off in the finals of the 10th annual Three-Minute Thesis® competition. Contestants from research programs all around campus have 180 seconds to convey the nature, significance, and inherent interest of their research to non-specialists, using only one static projected image (i.e., slide). A multidisciplinary panel of judges determines the winner, while the audience awards the “People’s Choice.”
The finalists:
Caroline Barraco (History)
Cagla Cimendereli (Philosophy)
Nicolas Croce (Social Science)
Nandini Jhawar (Psychology)
Qingyang Liu (Human Development and Family Science)
Matthew O’Leary (Anthropology)
Andrew Ridgeway (Writing Studies, Rhetoric and Composition)
Paul Sagoe (Biomedical and Chemical Engineering)
Nimisha Thakur (Anthropology)
Julia Zeh (Biology)
