Dissertation Defense: Jermaine Soto

The oral doctoral examination of Jermaine Soto, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Thursday, May 9, at 11 a.m. in the Ganders room, 220 Huntington Hall.

Soto’s advisor is Professor Gretchen Lopez. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Dalia Rodriguez and Mario Perez. Professor Gladys McCormick will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Urban Latinx Community Engagement in Activism and Advocacy: Community Members Interrogating Educational Systems, Policies, & Practices.”
