Professor Pacheco, author of Experimenting with Emerging Media Platforms: Field Testing the Future (Routledge, 2023), will look at how Extended Reality (XR) technology can be applied by students, faculty or staff, at low cost and with vivid results.
- What’s new and what’s ahead for XR after the launch of Apple Vision Pro
- Capturing reality in 3D from your phone through photogrammetry and “Gaussian Splats”
- Stepping into immersive environments with potential for new applications in storytelling, teaching and learning
