The Yes Men | School of Art Visiting Artist Lecture Series
November 21, 2024 at 6:30pm – 7:30pm EST
Shaffer Art Building, Shemin Auditorium
Ever since 1996, the Yes Men have used humor and trickery to highlight social and political issues. The Yes Men destroy brands, create public illusions, work with communities, disrupt events, impersonate nefarious entities, and so forth.
The Yes Men work with activist organizations and student groups — sometimes in tandem — to support change around issues, cheerlead other activists, bringing joy and humor to struggles that can sometimes feel hopeless, and mobilize communities, helping turn affected bystanders into full-fledged participants.
