Ukrainian Culture and Conversation Table
November 21, 2024 at 3:00pm – 5:30pm
Eggers Hall, 341
This year marks the 11th anniversary of the Euromaidan Revolution (“Revolution of Dignity”). What started as a mere “students’’ demonstration, ultimately mobilized millions of Ukrainians and turned into one of the major events in Ukraine’s modern history. It defined the country’s trajectory for many years to come.
During the Culture and Conversation Table, we will look into the reasons and legacy of the “Revolution of Dignity.” Together with Ukrainians who participated in the revolution, we will talk about their motivations and how they assess the Revolution’s results now, more than 10 years after it began.
Afterwards, we will watch the award-nominated documentary “Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom”.
Join us for an exchange! Pizza and drinks provided.
This event will be hosted by Mariana Semenyshyn, visiting Fulbright scholar. The event is co-sponsored by the SU Ukrainian Club.
