We invite faculty, staff, and students to come to South Campus to help us gather native seeds and weed out non-native plants that have grown in the pollinator garden.
During the event, participants will learn about the Bee Campus Garden located in the same area as Pete’s Giving Garden. Attendees will learn about NYS native plants and how to distinguish between non-native and native plants. They will also learn how to extract seeds and learn how to hold them over for spring planting or how to plant them now for fall planting.
This event is open to the first 10 campus members, we still have several slots and are willing to open this to more if you sign up! The Bee Campus USA garden is located behind the Inn Complete, where you can park your vehicle if plan to drive to the event. The Inn Complete also has a bus stop for your convenience if you are coming from the main campus and would like to ride the bus.
Tomorrow looks like it will be a great day for working in the garden. It is supposed to be sunny and 64F perfect weather for gardening.
Please email sustain@syr.edu if you would like to join us!
