The Newhouse School’s CODE^SHIFT lab invites you to its third research symposium on “Media and Social Justice: Global Perspectives,” which will be on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Leading faculty experts from across the country and globe will convene to present their research. The program includes a keynote by Dr. Travis Dixon (U of Illinois) and the book launch for the “Oxford Handbook of Media and Social Justice,” co-edited by CODE^SHIFT director Dr. Srivi Ramasubramanian and Dr. Omotayo O. Banjo (U of Cincinnati). Confirmed speakers include Drs. Leandra Hernandez (U of Utah), Wunpini Mohammed (Cornell U), David Stamps (Bentley University) and Rukhsana Ahmed (SUNY Albany). The work of Syracuse University faculty, undergraduates and graduates will also be featured. The full program can be viewed here.
