Engineering and Computer Science Dean’s Virtual Fall Update

Please join Dean J. Cole Smith as he shares updates about the College of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) during this live virtual event. Dean Smith is excited to share how ECS will be transforming over the next few years as the Syracuse community welcomes the semiconductor chip manufacturer, Micron Technology, to the area.

With the advent of Micron’s $100B proposed investment in Central New York, a breadth of existing and new industries in the area will need thousands of engineers and computer scientists, scholars, and thought leaders. To meet this challenge and power the coming high-tech renaissance in this region, ECS is set to grow by 50% over the next five years.
