Hiring Graduate Students on Sponsored Projects

The Office of Research and the Graduate School invite departmental administrative staff to an informational session and Q&A on graduate research assistantships and hourly research assistance under the newly ratified Syracuse Graduate Employees United (SGEU) contract. Topics will include the impact of the contract on assistantship terms, compensation, and employment conditions for graduate students, as well as additional considerations for proposal development and grants management. Administrative staff managing research programs and graduate student employment are encouraged to attend to ensure compliance with new guidelines and effective administration of research positions and funding.
