Profondo rosso (Italy, 1975)

This semester, as part of celebrating its 50 years as a multilingual, multicultural department, the Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics (LLL) is hosting a film series. The Italian film selections span decades and genres, focusing on several key themes that illuminate aspects of Italian society and culture (such as globalization, politics, immigration, women’s rights and more). Our goal is to highlight to our students that film is a critical medium through which they can develop their cultural and linguistic competencies.
